ALDARA BEGINS RENOVATION WORK ON AN ICONIC BUILDING IN CAMPO DE LAS NACIONES (MADRID)

18-03-2026

ALDARA Construcciones e Infraestructuras has begun work on the comprehensive refurbishment of the building that formerly housed the Johnson & Johnson offices, located at Paseo de las Doce Estrellas 5–7, in the Campo de las Naciones area of Madrid.

The project, developed by ARGIS, will transform the property into a 260-room aparthotel, featuring a swimming pool, car park and spacious communal areas, thereby strengthening the provision of flexible, high-quality accommodation in one of the capital’s most promising areas.

The architectural design is being handled by TOUZA ARQUITECTOS, with whom ALDARA has worked closely, alongside the property owner, on the preparation of the Construction Drawings. This collaborative working method has enabled the optimisation of technical and construction solutions from the early stages of the project.

Prior to the start of the main construction works, ALDARA carried out, from September 2025, all the interior demolition work on the building, with these works being carried out in parallel with the development of the collaborative project and the process of obtaining the building permit.

Construction management will be undertaken by ALMAR & PARTNERS CONSULTING, ensuring technical control and quality throughout the construction process.

The building has been designed in accordance with sustainability and energy efficiency criteria, with the aim of achieving BREEAM EXCELLENT certification, in line with ALDARA’s firm commitment to ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) principles. The company has extensive experience in complex refurbishment projects and in hotel and residential developments, focusing on responsible solutions that offer high added value.

Once completed, the aparthotel will be managed by FLIPCO by ARGIS, ARGIS’s specialist platform for Flex Living projects, a flexible accommodation model that responds to the new demands of the residential and tourism markets.

With this project, ALDARA reinforces its position as a leading company in hotel and sustainable urban regeneration projects, contributing to the regeneration of strategic real estate assets in Madrid.
